We met, we dis­cussed, and two of us had some­thing to drink. Yes­ter­day was the first time I par­ti­cip­ated in a sim­ul­tan­eously legal and illegal assembly of people sup­port­ing a com­mon cause which is elect­oral reform. Illegal because the fed­eral gov­ern­ment had already issued a ban on the gath­er­ing via all media out­lets under their con­trol, and legal because the Pen­ang state gov­ern­ment had given its approval
