I am a gradu­ate with First Class hon­ours in Forestry Sci­ence from Uni­ver­sity Malay­sia Sabah. I also earned a Band 6 in the MUET. I have scored the full 30 points for writ­ing in the TOEFL exam with 115 out of 120 points over­all. In the GRE, I scored 4.5 in Ana­lyt­ical Writ­ing which places me above the 73 per­cent­ile of GRE test takers.

Dur­ing my under­gradu­ate years, I provided a free ser­vice to my close friends, friends of friends, and fam­ily of friends in proofread­ing and cor­rect­ing their theses if they are writ­ten in Eng­lish. I do not claim to be able to cor­rect format­ting errors, or give insight­ful advice on how to strengthen the argu­ment in a research paper; how­ever I have had a 100% rate of sat­is­fac­tion (from per­sonal abso­lutely biased obser­va­tion) from the people whom I have helped for no charge.

If you are an under­gradu­ate work­ing on a thesis in Eng­lish, and need help to rewrite sen­tences, cor­rect gram­mat­ical errors, or re-arrange para­graphs, you may hire my ser­vices at RM 0.05 per word. If you just need help to proofread and edit any doc­u­ment in Eng­lish, provide me with a copy of your doc­u­ment with your con­tac details.

If I determ­ine my expert­ise is suited to the task at hand, I will answer your email with a request to send me a digital copy of your thesis. The pre­ferred format is .odt, although I will also accept .doc, .docx, .txt, or a link to Google­Docs. If you need me to proofread a doc­u­ment in any other format other than the ones lis­ted, you only need to ask.

Upon receiv­ing the doc­u­ment, I will use Lib­reOf­fice Writer to do a word count of the doc­u­ment sent and an ini­tial quote of RM 0.05 per word will be given. You may cal­cu­late the cost prior to send­ing the doc­u­ment to determ­ine if my ser­vices are worth the fee.

For an addi­tional RM 50.00, I will appear in the flesh to per­son­ally coach you in the cor­rec­tion of your thesis for a single 1-hour ses­sion. For RM 100.00 I will per­son­ally coach you in your cor­rec­tion up to a max­imum of three ses­sions until you and I are sat­is­fied. The loc­a­tion of the coach­ing ses­sions should be con­du­cive to the stated activ­ity, on Pen­ang Island, and is access­ible by pub­lic transport.

Ubuntu Linux Coaching

I have been a user of Ubuntu since 2006, and Ubuntu has per­formed admir­ably in my uni­ver­sity years as a stable oper­at­ing sys­tem that does whatever I ask of it.

I have writ­ten my thesis using it, did some designs for events using the pack­ages within, help con­vert file formats, and used my laptop run­ning Ubuntu as a mul­ti­me­dia sta­tion dur­ing a fac­ulty gradu­ation dinner.

To engage my ser­vices, you need to have a com­puter run­ning Ubuntu Linux as well as an act­ive Inter­net connection.

For RM 40.00, I will guide you in installing and set­ting up Ubuntu Linux on a com­puter of your choice.

For RM 20.00 per one-hour ses­sion, I will coach you in the basics of using Ubuntu, from using the pack­age man­ager, to them­ing your desktop, to any other requests you may have — provided I am able to ful­fil said request.
