Sarawak Government may be Lying.

Taib Mahmud, Chief Mugwump of Sarawak, and a member of the sub-committee of dwarf dictators of Not Even Trying to Lie United, recently issued a challenge for independent fact-checkers: “I know that there are exaggerated claims that 90% of Sarawak’s forests have been destroyed by logging,” the chief minister said in an interview here in

Jazz Concert in Penang.

And it’s cheap! RM30 (RM10 for students) for two hours of entertaining jazz from dedicated musicians is bound to be enjoyable for everyone. Details as stated on the event’s page in Facebook: Date/Time: 24th of April 2011, 1500–1700 hours. Location: Auditorium A, Level 5, Komtar. Performance by the Penang Philharmonic Orchestra. Penang Philharmonic Jazz Ensemble

Working at Goldman Sachs.

A comment on Slashdot which possibly violates several non-disclosure agreements has come to light, show-casing the wonderful compilations of protein libraries running Goldman Sachs. Personal Experience Working at Goldman Sachs I worked for this company as a contractor trying to do Windows Server administration but I was so disgusted by the work ethic, environment, co-workers, corporate ideology,

Strays Up and Down.

This is an utterly ludicrous land. We refuse to accept atrocities committed towards animals when it is highlighted by the media, yet conveniently forget that there are animals around us who are decidedly, not un-abused. Like that quarter-of-a-slice-of-a-vegetarian-pizza one should probably remember to finish off in the back of the fridge but didn’t; or that

Here’s an A for You.

I have no idea who came up with the idea, but it is apparently atheist week on Facebook from the 20th of March to the 26th of March 2011. Everyone is more or less using the Zapfino A, which is an odd choice in the first place, considering it is not an open source font.

More Madoka Music.

Haiku: Tiring day. To restore thyself with magic. Only with Music.   One isn’t enough, especially because the previous one is pretty much the Madoka Magica equivalent of the happy theme in Beethoven’s Eroica before the funeral march. Then again, the second one is the first instance of effective trolling via music selection I have ever seen.

Mull Over This.

I will be curtailing my time blogging once more as my thesis deadline looms like a Vorlon warship over a Starfury. Meanwhile, rumours of Japan’s demise by radiation are much overstated as the following XKCD comic shows. Supplementary article from Jake Adelstein explains why you should not worry too much about the nuclear power plants in Japan.
