I have issues with Nik Roskiman

Throughout my brief life, I have debated with cynics, smart-assess, smart-aleck-wannabes, and the religious. I always find debating with the religious the most infuriating. Anyone who has done so probably feels the same. You can come up with 100 reasons why you think they are wrong, with the supporting evidence, the studies, and the logical

I Feel Geekier Already: trayer

Somewhere between the problems with getting Gnome-Do’s Preference option to start (still unsuccessful), and my skipping of lunch (normal), I decided to change my background, which was when I discovered that trayer, the systray program in the bottom right corner of the screenshot above, failed to change its background from green to white. This meant

My Brand New Karmic Koala

Well, I have never been more pleased since making the transition from Windows to Ubuntu Linux. Karmic Koala runs beautifully on my ageing laptop, and with the onslaught of free utilities such as Docky, Ubuntu Tweak, Shutter, Gwibber, and other excellent examples of the open-source community at its best, my expectations have been raised for

The Climate Change Emails

I openly admit, I trust scientific consensus more than a mob of raging, passionate, well-meaning individuals. Because a mob of passionate, well-meaning, but ultimately raging individuals do not own PhDs in the fields they are criticizing. However, they have there roles in society, mainly to think critically about the issues, and to place their trust

Merry Squidmas. The Proliferation of a Disaster.

Religion is more often than less, the worst thing humanity has ever invented. What probably started out as a way to explain the living world according to observation, evolved into an elaborate system of indoctrination and abuse; where faith, belief in something intrinsically without the support of evidence, was a virtue.

Thank the Monkeys for Microblogging

I have recently got myself bogged down with work, and thus am unable to write the intellectually incisive articles I would have written if I had spare time. It may not seem much, but a lot of reading went into some of the articles I have posted, and I try to include as much credible

SPCA-KK on the 20th of December

Last night, I attended an SPCA-KK meeting on the society’s upcoming event on the 20th of December, from 1100 to 2100 hours, at 1Borneo, the Lower Ground Floor of the Northe Atrium, beside the escalator. The theme of the event is “Help Us Help Them, They Deserve Better”. Swing around if you have the time,
